CONNECTING FANS, MEDIA and ATHLETES in the WORLD of PROFESSIONAL SPORTS

Since 2001, Alfonso Aramendia has been connecting Spanish professional athletes - primarily in the NBA - to fans and media from Spain. The signature event is the 'Spanish Night' organized with NBA teams. During theses events, game attendance is promoted and organized, with fans participating in an on-court high-five tunnel for the players and a post-game 'meet and greet' with players.

Alfonso contributes his own articles and interviews to the Spanish Basketball Federation website (FEB.ES) and the Spanish Association of Basketball Coaches (AEEB.ES). He also writes a blog at the online basketball community established by FIBA.COM.

Alfonso, a native Spaniard living in Washington DC since 1996, is a communications specialist whose background includes a decade-long experience at the press office of the Embassy of Spain. His education includes a Masters degree in Sports Marketing and Communication from a joint program of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy) and Euroleague Basketball.
